The completed model measures almost a metre in length, making it a substantial addition to any maritime collection.
The kit combines traditional wooden shipbuilding techniques with precision laser-cut components, fine hardwoods, photo-etched brass and detailed cast metal fittings. A full set of sails and rigging materials is included to complete the vessel's characteristic appearance.

HISTORY:
Amerigo Vespucci is a three-masted sailing ship belonging to the Italian Navy, named after the Italian explorer and navigator Amerigo Vespucci. Built at the Castellammare di Stabia shipyard near Naples, she was launched on 22nd February 1931 and entered service later that year.
The vessel was designed by Lieutenant General Francesco Rotundi, who drew inspiration from the great ships of the line of the late 18th century. Her distinctive black and white hull recalls the appearance of historic warships, while her elaborate sailing rig provides naval cadets with practical experience in traditional seamanship.
Amerigo Vespucci was originally intended to undertake training duties alongside her sister ship, Cristoforo Colombo. Following the Second World War, she continued as a training vessel for the Italian Navy, undertaking voyages around Europe and across the world's oceans.
Her three masts carry a combination of square sails, staysails and jibs, with a total sail area of approximately 2,824 square metres. The ship is also equipped with auxiliary engine power, although sailing remains central to her training role.
Over the decades, Amerigo Vespucci has become an internationally recognised symbol of the Italian Navy and traditional seamanship. Her elegant appearance, extensive voyages and continuing role in naval training have earned her a special place in maritime history.
