ABOUT THE KIT:
Mantua Models' Caribbean Magic recreates the unmistakable appearance of Captain Jack Sparrow's famous ship. The kit features traditional double plank-on-frame construction, with laser-cut plywood components, limewood planking, wooden masts and spars, and a selection of brass and wooden fittings.
Etched brass details, rigging cord and sailcloth help bring the finished vessel to life, while building plans and English instructions guide you through construction. An absorbing project for wooden ship modellers and fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean films alike.

HISTORY:
The Black Pearl, previously known as the merchant vessel Wicked Wench, is a fictional pirate ship featured in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean film series. Instantly recognisable by her black hull and sails, she is most famously associated with Captain Jack Sparrow, although she also comes under the command of Captain Hector Barbossa.
Described as being "nigh uncatchable", the Black Pearl is renowned for her extraordinary speed. Throughout the films, she outruns or escapes numerous vessels, including the Interceptor and the supernatural Flying Dutchman. Her speed, formidable appearance and mysterious history have made her one of cinema's most recognisable pirate ships.
