Oxford Diecast Ford Transit Custom RAC Kit OO Gauge
The latest series of OO Gauge Ford Transit Custom vans continues with a nationwide favourite – RAC. Oxford launched the new van in the bold AA yellow and black livery, followed by a plain white version. Now it’s back again in the bright modern RAC colour scheme of orange and white, registered BN66 KKV. The detailed printing processes give us masses of motoring information along the sides and the back, promoting everything the RAC does from its used car advisory scheme, insurance facilities as well as breakdown recovery and care, online shopping, RAC approved garages and much more. The interior is grey and a roof lightbar has been added towards the rear of the roof. We love the slogan across the front of the sloping bonnet – RAC We Salute You – a nostalgic reminder of when the RAC roadside patrols did just that when they saw a member’s badge on the front of their motor.
Launched in 2012 at the Birmingham Commercial Vehicle Show, the Ford Custom Van is classed as a mid-size front wheel drive vehicle, a smaller version of the Ford Transit Mk9. In tune with the times, it is now available as a plug-in hybrid version too. As with many Ford models, you can opt for different chassis lengths and roof heights according to your cargo needs. At represents a good all-rounder, hence its ongoing popularity.
