Panart's HMS Victory is a comprehensive wooden model of Admiral Lord Nelson's famous flagship, designed for experienced ship modellers looking for a substantial and rewarding project.
The kit uses traditional double plank-on-frame construction, with precision laser-cut plywood sections, walnut and limewood planking, and individual copper tiles to recreate the protective plating beneath the waterline.
Lost-wax brass castings, brass and walnut fittings, wooden masts and spars, and detailed rigging bring the ship's complex structure to life. The high-specification edition also includes wooden lifeboats, providing additional detail compared with the standard HMS Victory kit.
Building plans and English instructions guide you through construction, while the finished model's imposing dimensions and intricate detailing make it an outstanding centrepiece for a maritime collection.

HISTORY:
HMS Victory is one of the most celebrated warships in British naval history. Built at Chatham Dockyard and launched on 7th May 1765, she was designed as a first-rate ship of the line, carrying more than 100 guns across three gun decks.
Victory entered active service in 1778 and served during the American War of Independence, the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars. She took part in several major naval engagements, including the Battle of Cape St Vincent in 1797.
Her most famous role came on 21st October 1805, when she served as Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar. Leading the British weather column into battle, Victory broke through the combined French and Spanish fleet and became heavily engaged with the French warship Redoutable.
Nelson was mortally wounded during the battle, but the British fleet achieved a decisive victory, capturing or destroying numerous enemy ships and securing Britain's naval supremacy during the Napoleonic Wars.
Victory was withdrawn from frontline service in 1812 and remained at Portsmouth, where she continued to fulfil various naval and ceremonial duties. In 1922, she was moved into No. 2 Dry Dock at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard for preservation and restoration.
Today, HMS Victory remains a commissioned Royal Navy warship and is preserved at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, where visitors can explore the vessel and discover the history of Nelson and the Battle of Trafalgar.
